Baby is the size of an avocado!
Wow, 16 weeks already… In a month, I will be halfway through this pregnancy!! So much to do!!
I started looking into classes at the hospital where I will be delivering, and there are many options. Obviously, we will take the typical childbirth class. (No Bradley method here, like my friend Denae, but major props to her. I’m semi-crunchy in many aspects…but not knowing what to expect with childbirth the first time around makes me nervous. I’m pretty sure, at some point, I’m going to be screaming at someone to get me an epidural. LOL Plus the added expense of hiring a doula, etc… DH won’t even let me get the crib I want, so I’m pretty sure he would balk at the cost of a doula in addition to my regular maternity care. Maybe with Kid #2…) Anyway, there’s also a Breastfeeding class, a Newborn Care class, and Infant CPR. All of which I have little to no knowledge of, so I’ll probably sign up for all of them…
To satisfy my semi-crunchy side, I ordered The Vaccine Book, and it came in today. DH is VERY pro-vax. He says: “It’s a social responsibility, etc. etc.”, and I do agree with that. We will definitely be vaxing in some form or fashion, I’m just not sure exactly for what and when. DH has agreed to read the book with me, and we will make that decision together.
I started doing some prenatal yoga this week, too, which was awesome. I am TERRIBLY out of shape, though. (I knew taking it easy the whole first trimester was going to bite me in the ass…)
