Premama Essentials Prenatal Multivitamin Mix Review {Sponsor Spotlight}

I’m proud to be a member of MomSelect, a program that connects mom bloggers with brands and companies that I can share with YOU! A few weeks ago, they were looking for bloggers to promote Premama, a new kind of prenatal vitamin supplement that can be mixed with a drink (think Crystal Light without the gross sugary taste!) I signed up because it sounded interesting, but never thought I would be chosen because I’m not currently pregnant.

Then, this package showed up at my house. 🙂

I have been taking prenatal vitamins since we started TTC three years ago, and I’m still taking them today (in preparation for round 2!) I’ve tried several prescription brands (thanks to samples from my OB!), and most brands you can find at your local supermarket, so I’d like to think I have some expertise in this area. I can honestly say Premama Essentials are the exact opposite of traditional “giant horse pill” prenatals. I don’t have to choke anything down every morning! Each stick is tasteless, and has all of the essential vitamins you need before, during and after pregnancy – including B6 to ease morning sickness, folate (folic acid), and iron. Bonus points that the mixture is 100% vegetarian and GMO-free!

It mixes up pretty well in just about any cold beverage or soft food. (It’s not recommended for carbonated beverages, hot beverages, or hot soft foods.) It does warn you on the package that when mixed with water, it may have a slight green color and taste a bit like iron. I tried it in water, and it definitely had a greenish tinge to it, but I didn’t really notice the iron taste. I prefer adding it to juice, though.
