Peppermint essential oil (Mentha x piperita) is steam distilled from the leaves of the mint plant. It has a strong, cool, minty scent that blends well with many oils, including Eucalyptus, Lavender, and Lemon.
Benefits & Uses
Peppermint is one of the most versatile essential oils. Some of its many benefits include promoting energy, reducing sinus headache & congestion, relieving nausea, and soothing sore muscles.
Cautions
Peppermint essential oil is safe for use around dogs, but should not be used (diffused or topically) with children under age 6. A dilution of 2-3% is recommended for topical applications in adults.
