doTerra “Breathe” Essential Oil Review

I’m really getting in to essential oils lately, and had been wanting to try one of the most well-known brands, doTerra. Christine, a doTerra consultant, contacted me and offered to send me a blend of my choice to try out.

It was a tough decision, but ultimately, I chose doTerra “Breathe”. I have sinus and respiratory issues that always get aggravated by colder weather, and I hoped that this would help.

Christine was kind enough to send a lot of literature on essential oils and their uses. I found the information on using EOs on kids especially helpful.

“Breathe” is a blend that includes laurel leaf, peppermint, eucalyptus, tea tree, lemon and ravensara. It soothes the airways, and can easily be applied topically to the chest, back, or bottom of feet.

I’ve used it several times when I feel a little tightness in my chest or have a stuffy nose, and it definitely helps ease the discomfort. ┬áIt is very strong, so it needs to be diluted with a carrier oil. (doTerra sells a great fractionated coconut oil for that.)

I really love this doTerra product, and can’t wait to try more!

What doTerra or other essential oils do you recommend for an EO noob?

Christine has also offered to host a giveaway of another doTerra product, Serenity! Look for that in a few days! THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED

{I was sent a bottle of doTerra Essential Oil in exchange for this review. All opinions are 100% my own. Please read my disclosure policy for more information.}

I’ve had this recipe pinned forever. When we ran out of our previous chemical-filled spray this weekend, I decided there was no reason to buy more, since I had all of the ingredients for this one in my kitchen! My home smells so lemony fresh – even my husband commented on the clean scent!

The recipe gives you some ideas for oils to use, but I found this Cleaning Synergy Blend that I just love. It contains Lavender, Lemongrass, Rosemary, and Tea Tree – but I notice the lemongrass more than anything else.

I also put a few drops of this essential oil in the toilet paper rolls in the bathrooms to keep things fresher!
