December Baby – 14 months

Happy 14 months, sweet boy!

You are growing up so fast! You can now kick and throw a ball, which is lots of fun when playing with big brother and the dog!  You’re also becoming quite the little helper…you love to “sweep” with a broom. And, when you hear music, you dance (bouncing up and down).

You have 8 teeth (4 on top and bottom). You’ll eat almost anything I put in front of you, but you love fruit the most (especially strawberries and blueberries).

I love you so much!

December Baby – 13 months

Happy 13 months, sweet boy! The last month has just flown by with the holidays! We celebrated three Christmases (one with each side of the extended family, and our own on Christmas day).

You have 7 teeth (4 on top, 3 on bottom), and can now feed yourself with your hands. You hate to be spoon-fed ANYTHING! You’re also no longer drinking formula or using bottles!

You can point to what you want, and shake your head “no”. You’re still a huge fan of toys with wheels, as well as containers you can take stuff in and out of.

It’s so much fun watching you grow up! I love you!

December Baby – 12 months

Sweet Boy –

I can’t believe how fast this year went by. The saying, “The days are long, but the years are short.”, is so very true! You have grown so much this year…from a tiny 6 lbs newborn to a walking and babbling 12 month old with a little belly! You love to laugh and play with your big brother. Your favorite toys are anything with wheels.

You’re so much fun, and I’m so blessed that you are part of our family! I’m looking forward to year two!

Love,
Mommy

December Baby – 11 months

Happy 11 months, big boy!

Less than one month until you turn ONE! I can’t even believe it!

It’s been a big month for physical development. You can stand on your own, and you took your first step a couple of weeks ago!

You now say “Uh oh”, “dada”, and “mama” (though not actually TO us yet). And you have 3 (going on 4) teeth.

Planning for your Winter ONEderland party has started! So excited to celebrate your big day (and eat some cake!)

I love you!

December Baby – 10 months

Happy 10 months, sweet boy!

You are constantly on the move! You’ve been cruising for a while. Now you are very briefly standing on your own, and you can walk if you are holding someone’s hand.

You finally have your two bottom teeth, and are a great eater. You love chicken, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese.

You’re really good at jabbering things that don’t sound like actual words, but that’s it. I’m not surprised, though. As much as your brother talks, you won’t be able to get a word in edgewise!  Haha

I can’t believe how close you are to being one!  I guess it’s time to get to work on your first birthday party!

I love you so much, little guy!

December Baby – 9 Months

Sweet boy –

You’ve become a lot more confident in your mobility this month. You prefer standing to sitting now, but you still have to hold on to something for balance (at least with one hand). You can also lower yourself from standing to sitting without falling down!

You’ve also found your voice. You do lots of jabbering, can say “baba” and something that sounds like “yes”, but not “mama”or “dada” yet.

You still don’t have any teeth, but I keep thinking that one’s going to pop through any day now.

I love you!

Baby boy –

Lots of motor skill development this month!  Sitting confidently?  Yep!  Crawling?  Been there, done that. Pulling yourself up to standing?  Yeah, you do that now, too…

And when you are standing, you are bouncing. Especially in your crib. Standing still is apparently not an option. Haha

You babble a lot, but still nothing that sounds like words (at least to me).  Definitely not “mama” or “dada”.  Maybe someone here can translate “gukkk”?

You are so much fun, little guy. I love watching you grow up!

Lots of love, hugs, and kisses!

December Baby – 7 months

Sweet boy –

Happy 7 months! Time is just flying by!

You’re getting better at sitting, though you’re still a little unsteady. You JUST started crawling. Like yesterday. Seriously.

You love to eat, though we haven’t tried a lot of new foods yet. So far, you’ll eat bananas, sweet potatoes, green beans, and squash.

You’re not much of a talker on your own. If I make a sound, you’ll usually say it back. You still love to squeal, though!  I think we’re going to start working on signing now, too.

I can’t wait to see what the next month has in store. I love you so much, baby boy!!
