One Word Wednesday: PACKING!!

You may have noticed that I’ve been MIA for a bit here. I kind of alluded to some big news on my Facebook page a while back…

Yes, we are moving!

(So much for my #OneWord365 this year, right?! lol)

I’ve been hesitant to post about this because…well, there’s just not much to tell right now. Our main objective at this point is to pack up everything we can and move it to a storage unit, so we can stage our house and list it (t-minus 20 days until our planned “on the market” day!) We do have a general area where we are house hunting…a different suburb about 45 mins. away from our current house (closer to my family, easier commute to husband’s work, etc.)

Fingers crossed that this whole process goes as smoothly (and quickly!) as possible. There may not be many updates on the blog until we get settled in to our new home, but I’m always on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!

One Word Wednesday: RELAX #OneWord365

I try to make resolutions every year. And maybe that’s why the month January always overwhelms me. Because I’m trying to CHANGE ALL THE THINGS and “become a new me!” every time the ball drops on NYE.

Two years ago, I made a list of goals. And did about half of them. Last year, I summed up my resolutions in a sentence, which was only slightly more effective. This year, though, I’m making it super simple. With just ONE WORD.

oneword365

Choose just one word.

One word that sums up who you want to be or how you want to live. One word that you can focus on every day, all year long.

It will take intentionality and commitment, but if you let it, your one word will shape not only your year, but also you. It will become the compass that directs your decisions and guides your steps.

Discover the big impact one word can make.

One word. 365 days. A changed life.

So, my word for 2014 is:

I take things too seriously. I take LIFE too seriously. I worry and stress about the small things. Things that I CAN NOT CHANGE.

It’s time to stop doing that. It’s not good for my health, my family, or my marriage. R. E. L. A. X.

What’s your #OneWord365 for 2014?
