Gray Star Boutique Review {Sponsor Spotlight}

I want to welcome a wonderful sponsor, Gray Star Boutique, who has generously offered up a prize in the Fluffy Mail giveaway event starting May 1st!

I was introduced to Gray Star Boutique recently by a couple of online mommy friends (and fellow hybrid fitted fanatics.) On a whim, I purchased one to try on my little guy. (I’m always looking for new brands and styles of diapers to add to my CD stash!)

Gray Star Boutique is relatively new on the hybrid fitted scene (their shop just opened this past January), but you wouldn’t know it by the quality of the diapers. They are very well-made, super absorbent and so SOFT! A new brand to add to my list of favorites. 🙂

The first thing I noticed when our GSB arrived is that cute little gray star snap on the bum. How unique! Another thing that sets GSB apart from other hybrid makers out there is that their diapers come with an extra booster and stay-dry fleece liner standard. Most hybrids only have those extras with their nighttime diapers.

With all of those extra layers, we’ve never had a leak, and the outer fabric of the diaper is never damp (even after a 2-3 hour nap!)

In addition to their diapers made with knit fabric for daytime use, Gray Star Boutique offers velour and fleece “sleepy” diapers for nighttime. My FAVORITE GSB that we own (so far!) is the blue velour sleepy. Even the soaker insert is made of matching velour!!

GSB diapers are available in four sizes. (All sizes are approximate, of course. Every baby is different.) — Newborn (up to 12 pounds), size 1 (8-25 pounds), size 2 (12-35 pounds), and size 3 (toddler fit). My little man is currently in a size 2 at about 34 inches tall, and 26-ish lbs. (We have also tried a size 3, but it was huge on him.)

Be sure to like Gray Star Boutique on Facebook for more information, and join us in the Gray Star Boutique b/s/t Group, too!

Little Monsters Cloth Diapers Review {Sponsor Spotlight}

I want to welcome a wonderful sponsor, Little Monsters Cloth Diapers, who has generously offered up a prize for a giveaway starting in July 2013!

I’m apparently a big deal in the cloth diapering world, because I was recently contacted to review a Little Monsters Cloth Diaper! They sent me the cutest yellow diaper to test out (love that frog on the bum!)

Little Monsters offers one-size pocket diapers (each includes a large microfiber insert) embroidered with different appliques. Now, y’all know I don’t exactly have the pocket love anymore.  But as soon as I put this on little man, I had a bit of nostalgia for our early CDing days.  ADORABLE!  So trim!  (Remember, I’m used to super fluffy hybrid fitteds here!)

I tested this one out for a few weeks, and even after several wearings and washings – it looks and performs great!  I love that the snap-down rise system has three rows instead of two (allowing it to fit smaller babies than a typical “one-size”).  The hip snaps keep the wings from drooping, even if you have a small-waisted child and can still cross the front snaps over.

I am very impressed with this diaper, and I can’t get over the cuteness.  I may need one in every design (especially the penguins)!

Review of Glow Bug Cloth Diapers {Sponsor Spotlight}

I want to welcome a wonderful sponsor, Glow Bug Cloth Diapers, who has generously offered up a prize for a giveaway starting March 11th! (This contest is now closed)

When Glow Bug Cloth Diapers came out with their new product line recently, I was itching to try one, so they sent me one to review! Glow Bug diapers come in some really cute designs (even my husband liked this one!), and have several unique features that make them a great addition to any stash.

At first, we had some trouble getting a good fit. We had major wing droop in the front. This was definitely user error. As it turns out, the diaper has a second snap on each wing to keep the flaps in place, AND we had the rise completely unsnapped and we didn’t need to! That means my toddler who is 33 inches tall, and over 25 lbs, still has a TON of growing room in these!

My favorite features of Glow Bug:

If you would like to purchase a pack of Glow Bug Cloth Diapers, you can shop directly from this blog! They are available in 6 packs (white or gender neutral colors) and 12 packs (featuring boy patterns, girl patterns, or gender neutral colors). “We offer our diapers in bulk to save our customers time and money.” – Glow Bug FAQ

OraMD Review {Sponsor Spotlight}

I want to welcome a wonderful sponsor, OraMD, who has generously offered up prizes for the Under the Rainbow giveaway event starting March 1st! (This contest is now closed.)

About a month ago, OraMD sent me a free sample of their product in exchange for a review.  I had been searching for a more natural alternative to traditional toothpaste, and when I came across this product, I was intruged!

OraMD is a liquid toothpaste, mouthwash and breath freshener from www.trustedhealthproducts.com.  It contains only three all-natural ingredients – peppermint oil, spearmint oil, and almond oil. These ingredients are specifically formulated to eliminate 22 known types of bacteria that can lead to multiple oral problems. It is safe and effective for everyone ages 3 and up (unless you are allergic to any of the ingredients, of course!) It is also safe for braces, veneers, bonds, crowns, fillings and dentures.  Each bottle of OraMD comes with a four step oral hygiene plan to maximize your results.

The first few times I used the product it was very strong (but they warn you of that). It doesn’t foam like regular toothpaste, but it left my mouth feeling REALLY clean and fresh! The bottle is small and can easily fit in my purse to keep my breath fresh on the go.

I love using OraMD, and I hope my dentist sees a difference at my next checkup! 🙂

Special Offer For Readers Of This Review –  The manufacturer is willing to offer my readers one FREE bottle. They said they would love to have my readers try out OraMD, and agreed to send one bottle FREE if our readers would pay a minimal shipping and handling charge.  They also agreed to include 2 eye-opening reports called 1) “The 6 Hidden Dangers In Toothpaste” and 2) “Why The FDA Requires A Warning Label On Your Toothpaste.”  That’s a total value of over $40.00.  Click here to get your FREE bottle and FREE reports now.

WOW Toys Review {Sponsor Spotlight}

I want to welcome a wonderful sponsor, WOW Toys, who has generously offered up a prize in the Snug as a Bug giveaway event starting January 15th! (This contest is now closed.)

I was recently given an opportunity to do a review of a product from WOW Toys, a London based company that offers durable and safe toys for kids 18 months and up. No PVC, no small parts, no batteries.

Since we were stuck inside all weekend because of the rain, I figured it was a good time to bring out a new toy for little man (because he’s apparently bored with the 35685325265465 toys he got for Christmas?!)

Now, {Hunter} is just a few months shy of 18 months, obviously. But he loves Jurassic Jimmy!

At first, he was all about the dinosaur egg (“ball!”), throwing it around and kicking it (this is where the importance of unbreakable toys comes into play!)

The more he played with it, though, he enjoyed every aspect. Driving the truck around, making the dinosaurs “bark” (what sound DOES a dinosaur make?)

I truly think this is a toy he will enjoy for many years to come! (And I will enjoy it because it doesn’t make obnoxious noises like 95% of his other toys do!)

I’m happy to announce that WOW has provided me with another one of their great products, Motorbike Max, to giveaway to one lucky reader! Enter the Snug as a Bug Baby/Toddler Giveaway for your chance to win! (ends 1/29/13)
