It’s the last week of school for my first grader! (Does anyone else feel like May drags on FOR-EV-ER?!)
As much as my son would love to just stare at the iPad all summer, we will be doing some learning. (Purchases made through the following Amazon links support PGM. Thanks!)
Last year, he loved Summer Brain Quest: Between Grades K & 1, which has activities for the core subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies), as well as Outside Quests like scavenger hunts and shadow tag.
This year, I purchased both Summer Brain Quest: Between Grades 1 & 2 and Summer Brain Quest: Between Grades 2 & 3, because some of the former looked too easy for him. We’ll see how that works out. Then, my mom found The Great Big Fun Workbook for Minecrafters: Grades 1 & 2. My son is really into Minecraft, so he’ll probably end up using that one the most. hahaha
I’ve also signed both of the kids up for our local library’s Summer Reading Program. Even if we don’t keep up with the workbooks, we’ll definitely be reading every day!
